Have you ever found yourself pondering life’s big questions about God? You know, those deep inquiries that keep you up at night, like “Who is God?” or “Why do bad things happen to good people?” Well, you’re not alone. People have been grappling with these mysteries for centuries, and it’s only natural to feel a sense of curiosity and wonder when it comes to the divine. In this article, we’re going to dive headfirst into these questions about God. So, buckle up and get ready for a thought-provoking blog post, as we  attempt to shed light on the enigmatic and eternal questions about God.

Who Created God?

Let us consider another question before answering this question. If God was created by someone, who is behind the creation of the other Person/power who actually created God?

If we say that God is created by someone it unfolds an infinite and inexplicable creation cycle in front of us regarding the origin of God. The principle of causality gives us an answer on this puzzle up to a certain extent. It says“ everything that has a beginning has a cause”. Hence the answer can be assimilated as follows, God who is the creator, who is the real cause/person behind the existence of everything has no beginning. In Psalms 90:2, Moses says that “before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” Hence God is everlasting to everlasting or his existence is from eternity to eternity, God has no beginning, but he is the beginning and reason for all the living and nonliving things. He is the one and only ultimate creator of the entire universe.

Why do you insist that this universe is created by God ? Why is it wrong to believe that the universe just happened ?

This is an age-old question which has puzzled many intellectuals. Sir Isaac Newton once designed a model of the solar system to have a deeper understanding of his research on the planet system. One of his atheist friends who had once rejected the existence of God and questioned his omnipotence saw this model of the solar system in Newton’s lab. He was very curious about the intelligence of the person who has designed this model and as a reply for his question, Newton replied to him with a big NO-ONE!!! No way!!! nodded his friend. Are you kidding me? There must be someone behind this beautifully created model. Newton smiled and answered “If it is simple for you to understand that there is a designer behind this model, how would you neglect the existence of a smart designer and sustainer of the system of a universe which is much more complex than a humanly made model.”

So let me come back to our question; God is the intelligent designer, creator and sustainer of this beautiful universe and he does it for the glory of His name. Psalms 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands” and king David in Psalms 8:1 writes “O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth? In verses 3-6, David continues, “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.

Why God, the great architect of the entire universe has to care for you and me? The answer is, He is not only the designer of the universe but also the creator of you and me.

In Genesis 2:7, Moses says “The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the man became a living being.” As the heaven declares the glory of its creator God, how are you, the handy work of God reveal His glory through your life. But how is it possible for you to declare the glory of a God unless you have a personal relationship with him or if His identity is still a mystery for you?

Why is the God in the Bible unique? What is the true religion of God?

Let me explain this with the following statements; A God who hates the sin but who loves and sympathize on the sinner, A God who is so great but wants to have a personal relationship with each one of us, A God who keeps the ultimate moral standards and calls the mankind to obey and walk in it. A God who is the creator, all powerful, all knowing, eternal but humbled himself to be born as a human child in the womb of a virgin to fulfill more than three hundred prophetic words written about him hundreds of years by the prophets of God. A God who is able to subdivide the human history into two parts through his birth namely; B.C (Before Christ) and A.D (Anno Domini – “in the year of the Lord”), A God who lived on the earth a blameless life and could not be incriminated by anyone in this world. A God who died for the sinful mankind by the hand of the sinful men but conquered the death and rose again on the third day and brought salvation for mankind. A God humbles himself to contain in the heart of a person who puts his trust in Him. A God who has given the promise to come back to gather his saints and take them to eternal life. If anyone ever known in human history with the above mentioned qualities, He is the God of the Bible. He is not the God of Hindus, Muslims, Christians nor of any other religions. But He is the God of you and me and of the whole universe.

Did God create evil?

God, in His sovereignty and omnipotence, created everything, including the entire framework of existence. However, God is not the author of evil. The Word of God says, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” (Isa. 6:3). ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!’” (Rev. 4:8). We should be extremely careful, t lest any false doctrine implicate God in any ungodliness. As it is written in the Bible, that God is Holy and there is no sin in Him.

“The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice”(Deut. 32:4).

“The Lord is righteous in all his ways” (Ps. 145:17).

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne” (Ps. 89:14).

“You are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you” (Ps. 5:4).

“You . . . are of purer eyes than to see evil and cannot look at wrong” (Hab. 1:13).

“He does no injustice; every morning he shows forth his justice; each dawn he does not fail” (Zeph. 3:5). “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).

“God cannot be tempted with evil” (James 1:13).

God ordained a world in which His creatures possess genuine freedom of will. This freedom encompasses the capacity to choose between good and evil. Evil, therefore, emerges when these rational beings, endowed with free will, misuse it to rebel against God’s divine order and commit sinful acts. God, in His wisdom, permits evil to exist within the framework of His divine plan. He employs evil for His greater purposes, such as testing and refining the faith of His chosen ones or demonstrating His justice and mercy.  And so fundamentally, the Bible gives us the best answer to this in the end, God, who is perfectly good and perfectly powerful and perfectly all knowing proves that He’s not the author of evil, by sending His own son to die on the cross so that we who are evil, can be forgiven and have eternal life.
